Those Falls

A few weeks ago Louise and Brian took me down to Niagra Falls - a must see for any tourist visiting Canada (so they say). It was very worth the visit, it's a very dramatic landmark, awesome. The amount of water that goes over the edge is impressive. It was a very hot day that day so being near the mist was refreshing!

View of the Canadian Falls. There was a lot of mist the day we were there. It made it a bit harder to see the whole falls but this is a pretty good view.

The US falls again.

We took a trip on the Maid of the Mist, a boat company that has been running tours since 1846. They take you right up and in to the mist of the Canadian falls. We got to don these attractive blue raincoats for the ride. It was a cool (literally) experience to hear the roar of the water so close.

On the way home we stopped at a couple of wineries. It was sweltering by this time! We did manage to enjoy a nice lunch (and glass of white) at one of the wineries though. Ahhh, it's a tough life this being on holidays.
