Bergerac and Beyond

We arrived at Bergerac, actually just outside of Bergerac at a friend of Pezi and Tinu's, Irene has a lovely place known as LaFeyte. It's a lovely property with plenty of land. we had lovely warm dry weather while we were there, great for touring around.

Irene greeted us on the first evening with a lovely dinner all prepared. Very french as you can see from the shot above. Some local wine, the best rockmelon (or some variety of rockmelon) that I've ever tasted and to finish the meal - the pleasure of cheese and grapes straight from the vine.

Here are Mum and Dad before dinner on our first evening. We ate outside under the grape vines! Wonderful.

LaFeyte: rear and side view. A beautiful old house, originally from the 17th century I think.

LaFeyte: View from the front.

A beautiful sunset at LaFeyte.

Naoko and Kim at Limeuil where the Dordogne and Vezerre rivers meet. A lovely spot, the town is very small but seems to thrive on tourism.

Me at Monbazillac, a picturesque chateau just south of Bergerac. After visiting the chateau we had to take part in the wine tasting included in the admission of course.

Chateau de Monbazillac.

The Chuah family at Chateau de Monbazillac. Great sunny and warm weather! Perfect!
